Brewster Washers Named 2024 "Manufacturer of the Year" by NJMEP
Brewster Washers is honored to be the recipient of NJMEP's 2024 "MADE in New Jersey" Manufacturing Day Award, and was named "Manufacturer of the Year" in the category for businesses with 50 or fewer employees.
This prestigious award celebrates the innovation, resilience, and excellence of the manufacturing sector in New Jersey. The awards were presented at the highly anticipated "MADE in NJ" Manufacturing Day, held on October 4th, 2024 in Freehold, which brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and manufacturing professionals.

Our thanks to everyone who came out to see us at the fall New England Design-2-Part Show on October 16 & 17, 2024, in Marlborough, Massachusetts!
As always, it was a great experience being part of this important industry trade show, which featured over 240 exhibitors and is the largest and longest running design and contract manufacturing show in the Northeast.
We are grateful for the opportunity to participate each year and hope to see you all again at the next show!
CIANJ Hosts Young Professionals Retreat
Our own Brielle Freda Seminerio was among a group of young business professionals who attended CIANJ’s Young Professional’s overnight retreat at Crystal Springs Resort in Hamburg on September 18-19, 2024.
The retreat was designed to help this core group master high-performance habits to help enhance their executive leadership skills, while also offering networking opportunities with other young professionals from various industry sectors to emphasize the importance of lasting business relationships.

Future Makers & Creators Tour
The Future Makers & Creators Tour, an event that brings schools and students together with local manufacturers from their area, was held on June 14, 2024 in the Orange, NJ school district.
Brewster Washers was on hand at Orange High School to meet and greet students, introduce them to the company, and discuss potential career opportunities within the manufacturing industry.

Senator Corrado and Assemblyman Barlas Visit Brewster Washers
On September 12th, 2024, Brewster Washers was honored to host Senator Kristin M. Corrado and Assemblyman Al Barlas from New Jersey's 40th Legislative District, at its manufacturing facility in Fairfield.
Owners Brielle Freda Seminerio and Thomas Freda spoke about the longstanding history behind this fifth generation 105-year old company, discussed some of the challenges and concerns facing small business owners today as they plan for the future, and then led Senator Corrado and Assemblyman Barlas on a tour of their plant.
Brewster Washers wishes to thank the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP) for arranging this visit, as well as Senator Corrado and Assemblyman Barlas for both their time and interest in helping Brewster Washers continue to thrive for another 105 years!

Brewster Washers Marks Its 105th Anniversary
March 15th of each year marks the anniversary of Brewster Washers’ founding by Bill Brewster, Jr., in 1919.
This year’s anniversary, our 105th, is a bittersweet one for the company, with the passing of Sal Freda, Jr. in September of 2023.
In the 30+ years that Sal was with Brewster, and particularly those when he served as President, the company made significant strides as it opened its doors to new technologies, forged pathways into new markets, and experienced unprecedented growth. Sal was a great mentor, leader, and friend to us all.
As we remember Sal and mark this historic milestone, our deepest thanks go out to our employees, to our valued clients, and to all those who have made this incredible journey possible, as we look to the future with great promise and pledge to embrace the challenges that lie before us.

On this International Women's Day 2024, we take a moment to recognize our very own Brielle Freda, President of Brewster Washers.
Brielle is the fifth-generation leader of our 105-year-old company that takes on some “out of this world” projects — as in, our parts are on the Hubble Telescope, Mars Lunar Rover and on all the Apollo and Space Shuttle missions. (Brewster Washers also manufactures custom parts for the DOD, EV / Automotive, Robotics, Computer, Aircraft, Medical and many other vertical markets.)
She is an outstanding role model for all young women in business today and someone we are all extremely proud of!
In Memoriam
Salvatore T. Freda, Jr.
(1960 - 2023)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce our leader and President of Brewster Washers, Sal Freda Jr., passed away surrounded by family on the morning of 9/25/23.
Born in Newark, NJ, he was raised in Belleville prior to settling in Cedar Grove 27 years ago. Salvatore graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in 1978 and would later attend Seton Hall University, graduating in 1982 with a bachelor's degree. In his leisure time he enjoyed playing golf, going to Seton Hall basketball games and trips with his family to Cape Cod.
Predeceased by his father, Salvatore Freda, Sr., he is survived by his mother, Jean (Anelli) Freda; his devoted wife, Mary Freda; loving children, Thomas Freda, Brielle Freda Seminerio and her husband, Adam; adoring granddaughter, Aubrey Seminerio; and dear sister, Sharon Freda Hornecker.

Heartfelt congratulations are in order for our own Brielle Freda Seminerio, Operations Manager at Brewster Washers, on receiving the One to Watch award from Commerce and Industry Association of NJ (CIANJ), as they honor Enterprising Women in Commerce.
The announcement was made at CIANJ’s 3rd Annual awards ceremony held on August 16, 2023 at the Glen Ridge Country Club.
Brielle was nominated by her father and President of Brewster Washers, Salvatore Freda, Jr., for her ability to take on new and greater responsibilities, thus assuming a more challenging role within the company, as Mr. Freda recovers from a battle with leukemia.
Please join Brewster Washers in congratulating Brielle on the important recognition this well-deserved award represents. She is an outstanding role model for all young women in business today and someone we are all extremely proud of!
